Short answers about how FSDmatch works.
What is FSDmatch?
A US-only matching service that pairs Tesla owners who want a free FSD (Supervised) trial month (“seekers”) with Tesla owners who have a referral link (“referrers”). Seekers use it for free. Referrers pay $4.20 only when we match their code with a seeker.
Is it free for seekers?
Yes. Seekers pay nothing to request a match. We verify your mobile number, then email and text you a matched Tesla referral link.
What do referrers pay?
$4.20 each time we send your referral link to a seeker. Nothing is charged at sign-up. You save a US-issued card with Stripe; we charge only on a match.
What’s the 12-per-year cap?
Tesla limits referral trials to 12 per calendar year. FSDmatch counts matches we send plus any Tesla referrals you already gave out that year. The count resets January 1. If you’ve already given 12 this year, wait until next year.
What reward can a referrer earn?
Under Tesla’s program (set by Tesla, not FSDmatch): own FSD outright → you may earn $99 in Tesla Credits if the seeker subscribes during the trial; currently subscribed → you may earn a free month of FSD if the seeker subscribes. Rewards are earned only if the seeker subscribes to FSD. Tesla may change its terms and decides whether any referral is honored.
Who can request a match?
US Tesla owners who have not subscribed to FSD in the past 12 months. One request per person per 12 months. You must give accurate information. We won’t match you with your own referral link.
Is FSDmatch available outside the US?
No. US only — including US-issued cards for referrers.
How does matching work?
First come, first served. When a seeker is verified, we pair them with the next eligible active referrer in line and send that referrer’s Tesla referral link to the seeker by email and text.
What if the seeker never uses my code?
Referrers can request a refund: email support@fsdmatchapp.com after 30 days from when we sent your code, with proof the seeker never redeemed it (for example, a screenshot of your Tesla app referral history showing no new referral since the match date). Refunds are only given if the code was never redeemed. Refunds are reviewed and issued manually if approved. If you’re refunded, we can move you to the front of the line for the next seeker.
What if Tesla declines or voids the referral?
If Tesla declines, voids, or won’t honor a referral made through a match (for example, the seeker doesn’t get Tesla’s referral offer, or you don’t get your referral reward because of how the link was shared), email support@fsdmatchapp.com with what Tesla told you or a screenshot, and we’ll refund that match’s $4.20 fee in full.
Do you pay seekers to use a link?
No. FSDmatch’s fee is for matching and delivery. Seekers are never paid or given anything by FSDmatch to use a link.
Will you text me marketing messages?
No. Texts are a one-time verification code and a one-time matched referral link (about 2 messages per request). Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
