How to get a free FSD (Supervised) trial

A plain-English guide for Tesla owners in the United States.

Not affiliated with Tesla. FSDmatch is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tesla, Inc. Trials, credits, and rewards are provided by Tesla under Tesla’s own terms, which may change at any time. We do not guarantee that any trial or reward will be granted.

What FSDmatch does

FSDmatch connects two kinds of Tesla owners in the US:

Seekers — owners who want to try FSD (Supervised) using someone else’s referral link. Free.
Referrers — owners who have a Tesla referral link and want it matched with a seeker. They pay $4.20 only when we match their code with a seeker (up to 12 matches per calendar year, including referrals they already gave that year).

Matching is first come, first served. We email and text the matched referral link to the seeker.

Who can request a free trial match

You own a Tesla and live in the US.
You have not subscribed to FSD in the past 12 months.
One request per person per 12 months.

Eligibility for Tesla’s trial itself is decided by Tesla, not by FSDmatch.

How to request a match (seekers)

Go to Request a Match on FSDmatch.
Confirm you own a Tesla, live in the US, and haven’t subscribed to FSD in the past 12 months.
Verify your mobile number with a one-time text code.
We match you with the next referrer in line and send their Tesla referral link by email and text.

How referrers earn Tesla’s reward

Under Tesla’s US FSD referral program (terms set by Tesla):

Own FSD outright? You may earn $99 in Tesla Credits if the seeker subscribes to FSD during the trial.
Currently subscribed? You may earn a free month of FSD if the seeker subscribes during the trial.

Rewards are earned only if the seeker subscribes to FSD. Tesla decides whether any referral, trial, or reward is honored. Cap: Tesla’s limit of 12 trials per year.

Referrers are charged $4.20 by FSDmatch only when we send their code to a seeker — not at sign-up. Submit your code.

US only

FSDmatch is available in the United States only. Referrers must use a US-issued card.
